Wave transformation in magnetohydrodynamics

Abstract
The transformation of magnetoacoustic waves is considered within the framework of ideal magnetohydrodynamics. The transformation coefficient is obtained by the method of phase integrals for two particular cases. The limits of applicability of the solution are also discussed. Figs. 2, Refs 10.
