Abstract
The decade which has passed from the moment of the appearance of the journal "Magnitnaya Gidrodinamika" has, been marked by great advances in the fleld of theoretical and experimental investigations of the motion of a continuous medium in electromagnetic fields. These investigations have been bound up to a considerable degree with a knowledge of nature, and were brought out by the need to clarify and implement new technological processes. An important role in the development and publicizing of new ideas and methods for the solution of important problems involving interction between fields and a material medium has been played by the journal "Magnitnaya Gidrodinamlka". In the name of the Scientific Council of the Academy of Sciences of the USSR on the mechanics of liquid gases, I congratulate the journal "Magnitnaya Gidrodinamika" on its successes during its first decade.
