Flat linear induction pump with conducting bars between inductors

Abstract
Electromagnetic processes in the channel of a flat linear induction pump with bars placed between inductors are analyzed. The influence of inductors' magnetic field on the coefficient of pressure head weakening k_oc in the molten metal zone is discussed. Primary attention is focused on the possibility to increase the coefficient of pressure head weakening k_oc more than unity. Tables 1, Figs 4, Refs 5.
