Fringe effects in magnetohydrodynamic generators

Abstract
This paper deals with the problem of fringe effects in MHD generator channels with finite insulators separating continuous electrodes from the grounded part oof the device. Potential and current distributions in the channel are obtained and losses due to back currents and ground leakage currents are estimated as function of the insulator dimensions. Figs. 8, Refs 8.
