Conducting strip in the traveling electromagnetic field of a plane inductor

Abstract
Expressions are obtained for the current density and magnetic induction in a conducting strip placed in the traveling magnetic field of a two-sided plane inductor. The conditions under which the electromagnetic force density reaches a maximum are analyzed with account for the higher harmonics of the magnetic field. The results of numerical calculations are presented in the form of graphs and tables. Tables 1, Figs. 4, Refs 2.
