Effect of a running field with large nonmagnetic gaps

A. K. Baugis - A. Ya. Vilnitis - M. P. Shkele - Ya. R. Shmit

Abstract
The article gives solutions for a monolayer solid working body of rectangular cross section, enclosed in a cavity in a ferromagnetic material, on whose surface there is given a surface current load, for two cases of its distribution in the form of a running wave. Expressions are given for the current and the magnetic field, as well as for the averaged equilibrium in the body. A detailed explanation is given of the need for investigating the behavior of the solutions at singular points of the contour of the cross section of the working body, to ensure singularity of the solution.
