On a certain effective method of investigating electromagnetic processes in magnetohydrodynamic channels

Abstract
One of the most essential elements of the analytic method which has been worked out for investigating the electromagnetic processes in a magnetohydrodynamic channel is presented -- the technique of constructing general solutions of elliptic systems of equations describing these processes; this technique is based on establishing a relationship between these systems and the Laplace equations. The case of a system of equations describing longitudinal effects in channels for Rm numbers which are not very small is considered. A relationship is established between the results obtained under these conditions and the analogous results obtained using the I.N.Veqois method.
