Experimental investigation and generalization of the characteristics of the channels of conduction-type pumps with independent excitation

Abstract
The relationships p = p (Q) and U = U (Q) (at different values of I and B) for two channels of a conduction-type magnetohydrodynamic pump were analyzed using equations containing both dimensional and dimensionless coefficients. The variables were quantities connected with the determining criteria of magnetohydrodynamics. It is shown also that, with a degree of accuracy sufficient for practical purposes, the above coefficients can be determined analytically, using the known distribution of the relative induction along the longitudinal axis of the channel B(x). The results of the work can be used for analyzing experimental data on conduction-type magnetohydrodynamic pumps.
