Interaction of fast magnetoacoustic and shock waves

Solutions are presented for an equation system describing the interaction between fast magnetoacoustic and shock waves. It is assumed the magnetic field is almost parallel to the shock-wave plane at x=0. As a result, an explicit expression is obtained for the ratio of the pressures in the incident and penetrating fast waves. For gas-dynamical degeneracy (magnetic field small), this ratio is less than the corresponding ratio obtained by D.I.Blokhintsev in the analogous problem in ordinary gas dynamics.
