On the possibility of increasing the weight of a molten metal suspended in an electromagnetic crucible

Abstract
It is proposed to keep molten metal in the levitated state with the metal assuming the shape of a solid of rotation with a cavity inside. This paper gives a brief theoretical description of the scheme. Both the method and the results of an experiment are described.
