Transport processes in a liquid-metal loop with a conduction MHD pump

Abstract
We investigate in the hydraulic approximation transient processes in a liquid-metalloop, resulting from a variation in the voltage of the electric-current source fed to the MHD pump. We obtain a system of equations that describes the transient processes in a loop in the presence of induced drag in the external electrical circuit of the pump. We give dependencies for the calculation of the flow rate of the liquid metal in the loop and the electric current in the transient processes for a laminar flow regime.
