Stability of Hartmann flow in a channel with elastic walls

Abstract
We consider the hydrodynamic stability of a stationary gradient flow of an isotropic conducting fluid in a channel with elastic walls. Under the assumption of smallness of the magnetic Reynolds number curves of neutral stability with respect to plane infinitesimal perturbations are obtained. The influence of the parameters of the problem on the critical value of the Reynolds number is analyzed.
