Construction of mechanical characteristics of linear induction machines with liquid-metal working substance

Abstract
A method of computing the mechanical characteristics of linear induction MHD machines, which is suitable for use in the presence of regulated velocity of the liquid-metal working substance, is proposed. The computation is based on the principle of the series equivalent circuit. The computed characteristics are compared with experimental data, and good agreement is obtained.
