Abstract
The article discusses a single-phase conduction-type magnetohydrodynamic pump with ideally sectionalized electrodes together with the feed sources of its channel. The feed sources are independent step-down transformers. Expressions are obtained determining the complex amplitudes of the voltages at the terminals of the windings of the transformers and between the electrodes along their length. An equivalent circuit is set up for an element of volume of the active zone of the channel. The calculation was made on an electronic computer. Curves are obtained reflecting the dependence of the voltages under consideration and their initial phases on the conductivity and the velocity of the motion of the working body.
