Quasi-one-dimensional description of Ohm's law in magnetohydrodynamics

Abstract
It is shown that a quasi-one-dimensional description of Ohm's law leads to anisotropy of the MHD quantities in the plane perpendicular to the magnetic field. Regardless of the profiles of all the quantities over the channel cross section, it is possible to draw some general conclusions about the relationship between the MHD quantities when different averaging methods are used.
