Abstract
The article proposes a model of a tornado based on the magnetohydrodynamic phenomenon of the development of the motion of a gas with the interaction between a current and the magnetic field of this same current, and the action of the differential rotation of the gas, with an azimuthal velocity falling to zero at the axis of symmetry. Within the framework of this model it is found possible to explain several phenomena which are observed with the passage of a tornado.
