Hydrodynamic stability of Hartmann flow of a non-newtonian viscoplastic fluid

Abstract
The stability of Hartmann flow of a non-Newtonian viscoplastic fluid is considered. For Hartmann numbers Ha < Hacr = 6.5 the flow is stable. For Ha > Hacr an equation is obtained to calculate the critical Reynolds number.
