Three-dimensional distribution of electrical potential for a cylindrical channel

Abstract
A solution is given for the three-dimensional problem of electrical potential distribution during flow of a conducting medium in a nonuniform magnetic field along a cylindrical channel with nonconducting walls. Results are obtained for various types of magnetic fields. A general solution is given for an arbitrary magnetic field Bx = Bx(z). An integral Fourier transformation is used in the solution of the problem.
