Distribution of potential in a channel in the presence of the Hall effect and in an inhomogeneous magnetic field

L. P. Poberezhskii - A. O. Yakhot

Abstract
Problems are investigated in which the current density (problem A) or the potential difference between the electrodes (problem B) are specified on ideally segmented electrodes. The Hall parameter is assumed to be constant. Problem A is solved by the method of Green's functions. In the case of given potential difference the current density at the electrodes is determined by the methods of the theory of functions of a complex variable, which reduces problem B to problem A.
