Disintegration of streams of magnetic fluid

Abstract
The stability and disintegration into separate droplets of a stream of magnetic fluid moving in the field of a solenoid are examined in a linear approximation. The presence of the magnetic field increases the size of the droplets formed. The length of the intact portion of the stream increases as the field becomes larger.
