Calculation of the volumetric distribution of the electromagnetic forces in a shaped flow-trough channel with axial supply of the current

Abstract
In an electrodynamic approximation, a theoretical calculation is made of the volumetric distribution of the electromagnetic forces in a conduction-type pump with an axial supply of the current, whose flow-through channel is a rectangular tube with a number of inclined cross-flow plates, taking up its whole perimeter. Taking account of the effect of the depth and width of the cross flow plates on the total axial force makes it possible to obtain an optimal ratio of the dimensions of the flow-through channel, with which a maximal efficiency of the pump is achieved.
