New magnetohydrodynamic and electrodynamic granulators with controllable decomposition of liquid metal films

I. V. Kazachkov - A. F. Kolesnichenko - V. P. Kuchinskii - V. V. Malakhov

Abstract
The new MHD and ED granulators based on parametrical decomposition of liquid films in drops have been considered, the dispergator being the most important part of the granulator. Several types of granulators {induction, conduction, electrodynamic or vibratory) are discussed. Advantages and disadvantages of these granulators have been analysed and the results of experiments discussed. The advantages of film-granulators as compared with the jet ones as well as their applicability have been discussed. Figs 8, refs 19.
