Abstract
The peculiarities of the effect of a uniform axial and nonuniform (axial-radial) magnetic field on the hydrodynamlcal processes and oxygen mass transfer in silicon single cryslal growth have been studied using results of numerical solution of the Navier-Stokes and Maxwell equations. It has been shown that the redistribution of melt flow structure in an axial uniform magnetic field can cause an explicitly nonuniform oxygen distribution along the crystal radius. The possibility of concentration control leading to an essential increase of oxygen distribution uniformity in an axial-radial magnetic field has been demonstrated. Figs 5, refs 11.
