Entrainment of a thin film of ferrocolloid by a rotating magnetic field

Abstract
The results of an experimental study of a flow on the free surface of a thin layer of magnetic fluid (in a tray) caused by a tangential rotating field have been presented. It has been shown that the colloid is entrained by the shear mechanical stress present in the nonuniform stray field of the tray. Figs 2, refs 5.
