Abstract
The results of an experimental study of MHD flow in a rectangular duct with a periodical system of cylindres serving as a model of a fussion reactor blanket with large aspect ratio ducts and anchor joints have been presented. It has been shown that at the investigated geometrical parameters of b/a=10, d/2b=5 and h/d=5 the presence of anchor joints leads to an increase of pressure loss of approximately 1.6 to 1.8 times. We have been able to clarify the effect of cylindres affecting each other. Figs 7, refs 3.
