Abstract
The possibility o control of the azimuthal flow profile and of the secondary meridional flow structure in a forced convective flow of a liquid under the effect of two inductors of a rotating magnetic field located at different heights has been demonstrated. If there occurs a differential rotation with formation of shear layers in the fluid, intensive velocity fluctuations with amplitudes of the same order of magnitude as those of the averaged flow are generated.
