The effect of magnetic field orientation on heat transfer at magnetic fluid boiling

V. G. Bashtovoi - O. Yu. Volkova - A. G. Reks

Abstract
The effect of the uniform dc and ac magnetic field orientation on heat transfer intensity at nonstationary boiling of a magnetic fluid on the surface of a cylindrical sample has been studied experimentally. By means of addiotional introduction of gaseous phase into the magnetic fluid volume attempts have been made to intensify heat transfer. Experimental curves of boiling as well as temperature dependences of heat transfer for aqueous and transformer oil-based magnetic fluids are presented. Table I, figs 5, refs 5.
