High viscous fluid flow in a channel with inner fins and walls coated with magnetic fluid. 2. Deformable interface

A differential equation for determining an unknown interface with the flow in a channel with thin partitions and walls coated with magnetic fluid has been derived on the basis of the equality of normal stresses at interface. The self-matching problem has been solved by the finite-element method and the shape of the interface between non-magnetic and magnetic fluids found. The range of the problem parameters when the assumption of the interface nondeformability is valid has been studied and limits of surface stability determined. Figs 3, refs 6.
