Heat and mass transfer in the mixing layer of parallel reacting gas streams in a transverse magnetic field

Abstract
We studied the interaction of two laminar chemically reacting streams of nonconducting and poorly electrically conducting viscous gases in a uniform transverse magnetic field. The self-similar solution was obtained by the using the small perturbation method applied separately to the upper and the lower combustion zones. The effects of the magnetic field on the velocity, temperature and concentration profiles in the mixing layer were investigated.
