Generation of electromotive forces by the movement of nonmagnetic bodies trough a magnetic liquid

Abstract
The process of e.m.f. generation by air bubble motion through a magnetic fluid in a magnetic field was investigated. The proposed theoretical model allows to obtain the e.m.f. dependences on the bubble velocity, the applied field intensity and, in the case, where a bubble chain is considered, on the inter - bubble distance. It was found experimentally that the e.m.f. depends on the mutual orientation of the magnetic field and the direction of bubble motion. A good agreement between the theoretical and experimental data observed.
