Thermodynamic relations for a magnetic fluid

Abstract
The thermodynamic relations based on a unit mass are obtained for a magnetic field. These relations eliminate the fluid incompressibility assumption and include the two-phase state undergoing a liquid-gas phase change. The relations are particularly useful in engineering applications, such as those dealing with energy conversion devices. A simple T-s diagram in a constant pressure process is demonstrated using a soft linear magnetic fluid approximation.
