Abstract
We have determined the dependence of the complex magnetic susceptibility of a rotating magnetic fluid particle on its angular velocity. Changes in magnetization and in the effective magnetic susceptibility of the magnetic fluid kept in motion by an oscillating plate were calculated. It was shown that besides the magnetization harmonic at the external field frequency, two complementary harmonics appear. The relation between the magnetic field frequency and the plate oscillation amplitude was investigated experimentally. The relative coil inductance change was found to be negative for low magnetic field frequencies and positive for the high, which agrees with the theoretical dependence.
