A numerical simulation of the dynamics of bending deformations of the magnetized stripes in Hele-Shaw cells

Abstract
An algorithm of numerical simulation of dynamics of magnetized stripes in Hele-Shaw cells has been described. The algorithm is based on the application of the method of boundary integral equations. Results of numerical experiments showing that the wave-length of the bend deformation of the stripe decreases when the magnetic Bond number increases have been presented. During the development of the bend deformation process, at its nonlinear stage the stripes form a characteristic comb-like structure which can be observed experimentally in several physical systems (magnetic fluids, thin films of ferromagnetics).
