Abstract
The effect of infralow-frequency variable magnetic fields H on culture Staph. aureus has been studied experimentally. Dependences of the bacteria number growth on the time of field action and the frecuency f have been obtained. It has been shown that the maximum bacteriostatic effect of H is in the interval f = 0.1-10.0 Hz. It is noted that the action of H does not result in the death of bacteria, and in the absence of the field the rate of bacterial fission exceeds the control one. Figs. 2, refs 28.
