Dynamic global simulation of bulk crystal growth under the influence of an axisymmetric magnetic field

Abstract
A global lime-dependent numerical model is presented, which is devoted to simulation of the Czochralski growth of semi-conductor crystals, with or without the influence of an axisymmetric magnetic field. The melt flow is calculated together with the electric potential in the crystal and the melt, by using the turbulent mixing length model. The dynamic response of the system to a perturbation of the flow conditions is investigated on a particular furnace.
