Development of a computer code for analysis of heat transfer in liquid metal MHD flows in ducts

Abstract
A computer code has been worked out to calculate 2-d velocity, 2-d induced magnetic field, and 3-d temperature distributions in laminar liquid metal MHD flows in ducts of two basic geometries. Straight rectangular ducts (1) and open ducts in the form of a chute (11). Some numerical results have been presented illustrating the influence of the magnetic field on the velocity structure and heat transfer. Table 1, Figs 5, Refs 8.
