Dynamo action in a swirling jets

Abstract
Physical mechanisms and properties of screw dynamo in a swirling jet and alfa-dynamo in a rotating turbulence are compared. An alfa-dynamo responsible for magnetic field generation in many celestial bodies, is shown to be essentially different from the screw one. Refs 16.
