Abstract
The numerical calculations of heat transfer in a fully developed laminar MHD flow in an isolated rectangular duct with a conducting inclusion in one of the Hartmann walls have been carried out for a one-sided applied heat flux. The influence of the inclusion location and its size on pressure drop, thermal entry length and Nusselt number has been studied. It has been found that by means of the inclusion, the fully developed Nusselt number can be increased by more than two times. Tabl. 1, figs 3, refs 4.
