Flow of conductive fluid caused by the action of rotating magnetic field in annual slot

Abstract
The results of average angular velocity of conductive fluid rotation in annular slot, which is placed in rotating magnetic field, measurement have been presented. The possibility of using the semi-empirical "external friction" model for description of the azimuthal flow in annular slot has been studied. The condition of transition from quasi-laminar flow to the fully-developed turbulence has been obtained. Figs 3, refs 10.
