Experimental investigation of liquid metal heat transfer reactor-tokamak

Abstract
Experimental investigation of liquid metal heat transfer in longitudinal magnetic field in horizontal heated circular duct with uniform and non-uniform heat flux around tube perimeter have been provided. Experimental condition were close to those in blanket and "first wall" cooling channels of thermonuclear reactor-tokamak. Strong influence of thermogravitational convection on temperature distribution, local heat transfer coefficients and temperature fluctuation intensity was observed. Presence of magnetic field increases those effects. Figs 6, Refs 4.
