V. P. Shamota

Abstract
The conducting fluid flow in cylindrical vessel caused by the action of asynchronous machine stator rotating magnetic field has been studied experimentally and theoretically. The friction moment on side wall dependence on the magnetic field frequency has been investigated. The surface form and velocity profile have been investigated too. The experimental results have been compared with the semiempirical "external friction" model calculations. The conducting fluid flow in the rotating magnetic field stability conditions have been discussied. Figs 5, Refs 9.
