Movement of a conducting liquid between parallel plates with injection and internal sources of weight

D. V. Legeida

Abstract
In the work a theoretical research of currents of a conducting incompressible liquid with regular intervals distributed sources of weight between two parallel infinite porous plates is made. Injection (suction) of a liquid of the same properties through the surface of plates is made. The external magnetic field is perpendicular to planes of plates. The numerical account of the field of speeds, intensity of a magnetic field and force of friction on plates is made. The results of calculations are represented on the diagrams for various value of magnetic number of Reynolds, speed of injection (suction), intensity of weight sources. It is shown, that the force of friction essentially decreases on the surface, through which injection of a liquid occurs. This phenomenon can have practical application in MHD-bearings.
