Abstract
As an example, electroslag technology was used for consideration the motion of two-layer fluid with different physical properties. The motion of fluid was induced due to non-uniform electric current passing trough liquid in cylindrical container. It is shown, that main electrically induced vortical flow in slag bath generates considerable convection in the liquid metal part of bath. The main characteristics of this convection have been determined. Figs 5, Refs 8.
