Abstract
We present a comparative experimental investigation of the particle size in ferromagnetic colloids (ferrofluids). The results corroborate a new method, which allows to deduce the core diameter D and the hydrodynamic particle diameter Dhyd simultaneously under in-situ conditions, i.e. without a dilution of the sample.
