Abstract
A solution of the Hamel problem for the convergent flow in the boundary layer approximation, allowing an analytical solution, is presented. A magnetohydrodynamic version of the Hamel problem at large values of the Hartmann number is considered. Using of the inverse power of squared Hartmann number series yields not only an analytical solution for series coefficients, but some new results, too, for example, on the dependence of the critical Reynolds number on the problem's parameters.
