Abstract
The effect of convection in an electrolyte due to the Lorentz force and the magnetic force on the electrical current density in a diffusion-controlled regime has been experimented on ferri/ferrocyanide solutions under a high magnetic field. Several configurations of the cell have been investigated by varying the bulk concentrations, the width of the cell and the direction of the electrodes with regard to the direction of the magnetic field. The results show different patterns with the varying magnetic field, the cell positioning and the distance between the electrodes. Figs 4, Refs 7.
