Abstract
Magnetically induced optical extinction in a temperature-sensitive magnetic fluid is studied as a function of magnetic field at different temperatures above and below the Curie temperature of the magnetic fluid. Magnetic moments at different temperatures are calculated and the Curie temperature of the magnetic fluid is determined. This value agrees well with the one obtained by other methods.
