Abstract
The nonlinear boundary-value problem describing the steady boundary-layer flow in a conducting fluid flowing transverse to a variable magnetic field along a moving wedge in a free stream is formulated in this paper. Similarity solutions are defined numerically using an implicit finite-difference scheme for some values of the governing parameters. It has been shown that multiple (dual) solutions exist for some particular values of the considered parameters. Under certain conditions, the current results will reduce to those obtained by other researchers. Tables 1, Figs 6, Refs 23.
