Possibilities of 3D numerical simulations of electromagnetic induction pumps with permanent magnets

Abstract
In the present work, the commercial software ANSYS FLUENT (V.12) is used to develop a 3D numerical model of the EMIP. The obtained numerical results are compared with a simplified analytical model showing good agreement. Limitations and possible extension of the numerical model are discussed.
