Abstract
A rheological study of ferrofluid has been carried out with a water-based ferrofluid; the dielectric constant, loss tangent and electrical conductivity have been measured with the help of a RCL meter at 0.1, 1, 10, 100 and 1000 KHz frequencies at room temperature. The results have been plotted in graphs and discussed. Some useful applications of ferrofluids for technological, biological and medical purposes are also discussed in the present paper.
